SSORDER(1)SSORDER(1)NAMEssorder - compute and write cord feedback files from working set data
SYNOPSISssorder-wsl <working-set-list-file> [-gray|-weight] -o <output-
feedback-file> <a.out or DSO>
INTRODUCTIONssorder is a tool designed to allow generation of a cord feedback file
from the executable or DSO and a list of working set files, and weights,
derived from measurements.
ssorder is a command-line version of sscord; it generates identical
feedback files, but can be run from a script. The theory and strategy
for the computations involved is described in the man page for sscord(1),
q.v.
DESCRIPTIONssorder reads a working-set list file specified by the -wsl argument, and
generates a cord feedback file written to the file given by its -o
argument (or to stdout, if none is given).
COMMAND-LINE OPTIONS
ssorder accepts the following command-line options:
-o outfile
specifies the name of the output file to be written with feedback
information. If the file exists, ssorder will exit with an error
message. If this option is not provided, ssorder will write the
feedback to stdout.
-wsl fileset
specifies a single text file name as input; the working set list
will consist of the working-set files whose names appear in the
input file. Each file name should be on a single line.
-gray
specifies that gray-code ordering should be computed (default).
-weight
specifies that weighted-affinity ordering should be computed.
-v[erbose]
specifies that additional informational output should be generated.
It is equivalent to setting the environment variable
_SPEEDSHOP_VERBOSE to an empty string.
-V specifies that even more additional informational output should be
generated. It is equivalent to setting the environment variable
_SPEEDSHOP_VERBOSE to a non-empty string.
