SYNOPSISrgb2ps inimage [-rgb]
[-nozoom ]
[-f | -flip ]
[-r | -rotate Angle ]
[-p | -ppi PixelPerInch ]
[-d PrinterResolution ]
[-z ZoomFactor ]
[-b bitsperpixel]
DESCRIPTIONrgb2ps converts an SGI image file into Postscript. This program
generates black/white or color PostScript. It creates the ASCII
PostScript data.
rgb2ps is provided for compatibility with previous Impressario releases.
All new development should be done with the sgi2ps program.
The rgb2ps program scales the image to fit the page and chooses the page
orientation landscape or portrait to best match the paper.
If the -rgb option is specified, then rgb color PostScript will be
generated.
If the -nozoom option is specified, then the image will be printed at its
original size.
If the -flip option is specified, then the image will be mirrored. This
option can be very useful for printing on transparent material.
If the -rotate Angle option is specified, then the image will be rotated
at the specified Angle.
If the -z ZoomFactor option is specified, then the image will be resized
based on ZoomFactor. The ZoomFactor accepts float value ranging between
0.0 to 1.0. The value 0.0 means do not zoom the image (same as nozoom
option), 1.0 means zoom the image to fit on one page, and 0.5 means zoom
the image to fit within half of one page. The image is always centered on
the page. If -ppi option is specified then -z option is ignored.
The -b option specifies how many bits to use when describing images. The
valid options are 1, 2, 4, and 8. The default is 8 bits per pixel giving
256 shades in a black and white image.
The -ppi option specifis how many pixels per inch on both x and y axis.
If this option is specified then the -z option will be ignored.

The -d option specifies the printer resolution (dots per inch). The
default resolution is 300.
WARNING
This program has been superseded by the program sgi2ps. All new
development should be done with sgi2ps. The rgb2ps program is provided
for compatibility with previous releases of the Impressario product and
may be removed from future releases.
SEE ALSOsgi2ps(1)KNOWN BUGS
1. Non orthogonal rotations may cause image clipping.
2. Explicitly specifying zero degree rotation will cause a best-fit
image orientation.
3. Zooming based on ppi may not work as expected.
