tan returns the real tangent of its real argument, dtan returns the
double-precision tangent of its double-precision argument, and qtan
returns the real*16 tangent of its real*16 argument. The argument for
tan, dtan, and qtan must be in radians and is treated modulo 2*Pi.
The generic tan function becomes dtan as required with a double-precision
argument, and qtan as required with a real*16 argument.
tand returns the real*4 tangent of its real*4 argument. The argument for
tand must be in degrees and is treated modulo 360. dtand returns the
real*8 tangent of its real*8 argument. qtand returns the real*16 tangent
of its real*16 argument. The generic tand function becomes dtand as
required with a real*8 argument, and qtand as required with a real*16
argument.
