nearbyint(3C)nearbyint(3C)NAME
nearbyint, nearbyintf, nearbyintl - the nearbyint functions (libc
routines)
SYNOPSIS
#include <math.h>
double nearbyint(double x);
float nearbyintf(float x);
long double nearbyintl(long double x);
DESCRIPTION
These routines are not available for programs compiled with the O32 ABI.
Note that the long double routine is only valid for the MIPSpro
compilers.
The nearbyint functions round their argument to an integer value in
floating-point format, using the current rounding direction and without
raising the "inexact" floating-point exception.
NOTES
Long double operations on this system are only supported in round to
nearest rounding mode (the default). The system must be in round to
nearest rounding mode when calling any of the long double functions, or
incorrect answers will result.
RETURN VALUES
nearbyint(_0.0) returns _0.0 (for all rounding directions).
nearbyint(_infinity) returns _infinity (for all rounding directions).
(nearbyintf and nearbyintl behave similarly.)
