CACHEMGR.CGI(8) BSD System Manager's Manual CACHEMGR.CGI(8)NAMEcachemgr.cgi - HTML management interface to Squid cache
DESCRIPTIONcachemgr.cgi provides an HTML interface to examine statistics kept by
Squid. A facility is also provided to shutdown the cache (with password
protection) or refresh an object.
cachemgr.cgi should be installed on a machine that runs an HTTP daemon
and that has administrative access to the cache. Administrative access
to the cache is configured via ACLs in /var/www/conf/squid.conf, by de-
fault squid is configured to allow access only from the local machine.
To use the shutdown facility an account called ``squid'' must exist on
the machine where squid is running and you must supply the password for
this account. Note that this password is passed in the clear.
